How to read this ranking

The WTA ranking is a rolling 52-week total: each player keeps the points earned from their best results of the past year, and loses them on the anniversary of the tournament concerned. A rank can therefore drop without a single match being lost, simply because the points from a good result last year have just expired.

The tour publishes a new version every Monday. This table reproduces the latest publication in full: every rank is there, in order, with no reconstruction on our part. It does not update during a match.

The "matches since 2021" column is not part of the official ranking. It shows how many singles matches this player has in our corpus, the one our calculations are made on. A high rank with few matches usually signals a return from injury or a recent arrival on the main tour.
